Sarpino’s USA is heading west with the signing of a multi-unit franchise agreement for our first-ever locations in Colorado. We are so excited to welcome new franchisees Samar Sawaged and Said Demirovski to our fast-growing brand. Together, they have more than 30 years of combined experience in business ownership, operations, and management. The Denver-based entrepreneurs committed to develop five Sarpino’s USA locations in the greater Denver metro area in the coming years. The first is slated to open in Westminster in 2023.
“This agreement marks a significant milestone in our company history as we enter our ninth state with our first-ever Colorado restaurants,” said David Chatkin, president of Sarpino’s USA. “Denver is an ideal market for Sarpino’s USA. There is high consumer demand for our elevated food and strong economic growth and development. We’re so excited to have Samar and Said join our fast-growing franchise system. They will help bring our unrivaled Italian recipes from the heart of Calabria, Italy to the Denver area.”
First-Ever Locations in Colorado
Said is no stranger to Sarpino’s USA; he has a longstanding history with our brand. He was hired as a manager in our Evanston, Illinois franchise location in 2010 at just 18 years old. He stayed with that franchise owner for six years, working at five locations throughout the area. Now, with his business partner Samar, Said is returning to our Sarpino’s USA family as his very own franchise owner.
“Working for a local Sarpino’s USA franchisee in Illinois for six years and now owning my own store is a full-circle moment that I couldn’t be more excited about,” Said told What Now Denver.
Franchisee Background
Samar, who moved to the U.S. from Jordan in 1996 and has been a Denver resident for more than 25 years. He has owned several successful businesses in the local area including liquor stores, a burrito restaurant, and a home daycare.
“When Said first introduced me to Sarpino’s USA, I was blown away by the quality of our food. I knew immediately that we were different from big chain pizza delivery concepts. We take an artisanal approach to pizza-making. We offer a large, inclusive menu with an array of pizzas, Italian favorites, and an entirely separate vegan menu,” said Samar. “There is tremendous opportunity for Sarpino’s USA in Colorado. We’re excited to bring the brand to Denver and be part of its early growth in the region.”
