Here we grow again! Sarpino’s USA is set to open our newest restaurant in North Miami with a former McDonald’s Franchisee. It’s with great pleasure that we welcome Evangeline Banks, and Norflette and Leronnie Harris to the Sarpino’s USA family. They recently signed their franchise agreement in South Florida. The father-son-and-daughter entrepreneurial team are customers of Sarpino’s USA in Miramar, Fla. That sparked them to invest and open their own restaurant.
Why We Invested in Sarpino’s USA
“We spent a considerable number of years as franchisees of McDonald’s. It provided us with an acute understanding of the franchise model,” said Leronnie Harris. “As customers of Sarpino’s USA, we absolutely fell in love with the food and their made-from-scratch approach to delivery. We knew right away that this was the next great brand we wanted to be a part of. They have an artisanal approach to pizza delivery and an inclusive menu. And the separate vegan menu is the kind of disruptive restaurant energy we can get behind. There is tremendous opportunity for Sarpino’s USA in South Florida. We’re excited to bring the brand to Miami and be a part of its early growth in the region.”
Sarpino’s USA South Florida Growth Strategy
Sarpino’s USA’s new franchise agreement for North Miami accelerates our South Florida expansion plan. That plan is part of a larger five-year growth strategy to open dozens of new locations by the end of 2027. In addition to targeting untapped markets in the Sunshine State, we’re zeroing in on where we already have a presence. This includes the Midwest and throughout the Southeast.
The addition of a new North Miami Sarpino’s USA franchise will bring our total to 5 locations across South Florida. This includes our soon-to-open restaurant in Brickell / Downtown Miami. Our other South Florida locations include Miramar, Coral Springs, and Downtown Ft. Lauderdale.
Sarpino’s USA Set to Open New Restaurant in North Miami
“We are so pleased to welcome Evangeline, Norflette, and Leronnie to our Sarpino’s USA family, while expanding our presence further into South Florida and opening our first ever location in Miami,” said David Chatkin, president of Sarpino’s USA. “While they have impressive franchising and professional backgrounds, what we love the most is that they want to apply that experience and business knowledge to operating Sarpino’s USA. We know they are going to find tremendous success in Miami and hopefully beyond.”
Since entering the U.S. in 2002, the delivery focused Sarpino’s USA has grown to nearly 50 locations and developed a reputation for blending Old World Italian authenticity and American ingenuity. Today, Sarpino’s USA offers more than 60 specialty and gourmet pizzas, roughly 20 calzones and 20 sandwiches, 12 pastas, 11 salads, three bone-in wing flavors, and a variety of appetizers, plus an entire separate vegan menu. In a world of sameness and low-quality, factory-made pizzas, Sarpino’s USA has forged an entirely different path and makes its food from scratch, taking an artisanal approach to pizza-making simply not found in big chains.
