The Franchise Times Top 500 annual list examines trends in the franchising industry. With many of the measures meant to slow down the coronavirus pandemic coming to an end and a sense of normalcy returning, 2021 marked a rebound year for hundreds of franchises.
Those comebacks are reflected across the Franchise Times Top 500, the annual ranking of the largest U.S.-based franchise systems by worldwide sales. This year’s ranking had plenty of variety when it came to performance, as some companies had sales exceeding pre-pandemic levels, while others had increases without a full recovery.
Sarpino’s USA is proud to be included among these brands.
Franchises were recognized for their outstanding performance in areas including financial strength and stability, unit growth, and brand power. Those selected to be on the coveted list were evaluated for factors such as costs and fees, franchisee support, size and growth, brand strength and financial strength and stability.
Sarpino’s USA’s humble beginnings began while David Chatkin was finishing his MBA and decided to become a restaurant franchisee, choosing Sarpino’s USA Pizzeria. Since that unassuming start and subsequently acquiring the rights to develop the entire U.S. market in 2005, Sarpino’s USA has steadily been building locations with the understanding that when it comes to flavor – fresh and daily chopped ingredients are the only building blocks needed for great meal. Today, Sarpino’s USA has expanded to nearly 50 restaurants across the Midwest, Southwest, and Florida. And while we’ve grown significantly over nearly 20 years, some things have remained constant – our artisanal approach is just not something you find very often in the big chains or in most independent shops. We like to cook from scratch, and we’re proud that we get to tell that story to our customers with each order.
Backed by a strong business model and revenue increases, Sarpino’s USA is looking to grow in markets across the U.S. Franchisees can expect their initial investment to range from $319,000 to $499,000 depending on the restaurant format and real estate selected. An initial franchise fee of $30,000 is in addition to the estimated investment, which gives candidates access to our proven business model, proprietary recipes, world-class training and support, and ongoing coaching from our leadership team.
